Enjoy classic, family-friendly films in the beautiful outdoors of California's Native Garden! For each film, the spotlight will be on California's most beloved plants as the play starring roles, cameos and background actors in these famous features. Enjoy films from E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial to The Muppet Movie while learning about the California plants that share the stage with your favorite characters. Each evening, you will receive a field guide to the plants you can spy in the film and during intermission, Garden staff will discuss the plants and landscapes seen in the movies.

Gates open at 6:30 p.m. Movies begin at 7:30 p.m., in the California Courtyard, adjacent to the California Garden Gift Shop. Buy tickets at the admissions kiosk or online in advance. You are welcome to bring your own blankets and portable chairs. Canvas chairs will be for sale at the event and there will be seating available. Ticket price includes parking and evening admission to the Garden. Limited tickets are available, advance ticket purchase is recommended. No refunds or ticket exchanges. Cinema Botanica: Movies in the Garden are subject to change. In the event of cancellation due to weather, tickets are valid for one (1) complimentary admission to Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden during regular business hours, expiring one year from movie date (not valid for special or ticketed events).
