Introduction to iNaturalist
Selected date Saturday April 30
Selected time 10:00 AM  –  12:00 PM
Whether you have heard of iNaturalist before or not, get ready to get excited! This app and online social network helps you collect and log your own nature observations, find out what species you observed, and add to the greater knowledge of biodiversity in your area. Join CalBG PhD candidate, Keir Morse, as he breaks down the features of iNaturalist and teaches you the best ways to log your finds and photograph plants so that they can be accurately identified. He will also introduce you to some of the more advanced features of the website.

This introduction to iNaturalist is great preparation if you'd like to participate in the 2022 City Nature Challenge (April 29-May 2), the international event where people around the world find and document wildlife in and around their cities.

• We encourage you to visit inaturalist.org and download the app from itunes or google play and try it out before the start of the class.

• Participation in the City Nature Challenge, April 29-May 2 is not required but definitely encouraged!

• Minimum age for this class is 13 years old.
