This one day, hands-on workshop will cover taxonomy and identification of southern California's aquatic plants, both native and non-native.

The workshop will include classroom-based instruction with fresh plant material that will be provided for examination and identification. 

A list of suggested items will be sent to registered participants before the class date. 

Participants are welcome to bring a bag lunch; light refreshments will be provided.

Instructor: Mare Nazaire, Ph.D

Mare is the Administrative Curator of the RSA Herbarium. She specializes in the Systematics of Mertensia (Boraginaceae), aquatic plants, plants of alpine & montane habitats, floristics, and biogeography.
