Hot Spots for Rare Plants in California
This event is no longer on sale.
Sunday March 9
1:00 PM  –  2:00 PM

With more than 6,500 kinds of native plants, California has more kinds of plants than any other state in the United States. California's status as a global diversity hot-spot is not only due to the number of plants found here, but also due to threats that have caused many of our plants to become endangered. Naomi Fraga (RSABG Conservation Botanist) will provide an overview to some spectacular hiking locations in southern California that are noted not only for their scenic beauty, but also for the rare and interesting plants that occur there.

Please note the location is Grow Native Nursery in the Veterans Garden at the following address:

VA Greater Los Angeles Health Care System
100 Davis Ave.
Los Angeles, CA 90049

(Grow Native Nursery in the Veterans Garden is adjacent Jackie Robinson Stadium)
