Plants come in such a diversity of intriguing patterns and colors! But it can be a challenge to photograph them and preserve that moment of 'awe!' Or for the biologist and naturalist, that discovery moment of 'aha!' If you too are struggling with making the most out of your camera as you explore the natural world around you, then join botanist and photographer Keir Morse for an introduction to digital photography with special emphasis on how to photograph plants! After a short talk to give you the foundational skills of photography, Keir will lead you out into the winding paths of Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden to try out some of these techniques with the native flora we grow and preserve here! Don't forget your camera!

Education Classes Refund Policy
In the case that a fee-based class or workshop is cancelled, Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden will refund the full (100%) payment.
If a registered and paid participant withdraws from the class 72 hours or more prior to the beginning of the event, class, or workshop a full refund will be issued.
If a registered and paid participant withdraws more than 24 hours but less than 72 hours before the beginning of the class, event, or workshop a 50% refund will be issued.
If a registered and paid participant withdraws less than 24 hours before the class, or is a ‘no-show’ on the day of the event, class, or workshop, no refund will be issued.
This Refund Policy applies to all classes requiring payment.
