California Botanic Garden will turn this Black Friday GREEN with free admission! A limited number of tickets are available for morning and afternoon entry. Please select either the morning or afternoon time block, depending on when you want to enter the Garden. Members may enter the Garden without a reservation by simply presenting their membership card at the Admissions Kiosk.  

We are open Tuesdays - Sundays from 8 AM - 5 PM. We are closed on Mondays.

IMPORTANT: Everyone in your party over the age of 2 is required to wear a face covering at all times during your visit.  

When you arrive:

After parking, please visit our Admissions Kiosk and provide the name on your reservation.

By entering the Garden, you are agreeing to our guidelines for your safety and for the safety of others. 

When you leave:

All guests must depart the Garden by 5 PM.

Please remember: 

If you or another person in your party is not feeling well, please visit at another time. 

Bring your own water, as it is not available. 

Picnicking in the Garden is not allowed. 

Stay at least 6 feet away from anyone not in your family unit. This includes Garden Staff. 

The Administration Building and Horticultural Complex are closed to visitors. 

Only one set of restrooms is open: those at the north end of the Mesa near the Lantz Outdoor Classroom.  

It is advised that you refrain from using the benches or contacting other surfaces. 

We have a family of bobcats resident in the Garden at this time. Bobcats are probably always here and what varies is how frequently they are sighted by humans. There have never been any instances of negative consequences of human - bobcat interaction but it is vital that you be situational aware:  if you are lucky enough to see these gorgeous animals, keep your distance, do not come between the members of a bobcat family, never ever try to touch or otherwise interfere with a bobcat - or any wild animal -at the Garden. We are fortunate to have this Garden with its open space that provides sufficient habitat for these wonderful animals.
