Education Classes Refund Policy

In the case that a fee-based class or workshop is cancelled, the Garden will refund the full (100%) payment. 

If a registered and paid participant withdraws from the class 72 hours or more prior to the beginning of the event, class, or workshop a full refund will be issued. 

If a registered and paid participant withdraws more than 24 hours but less than 72 hours before the beginning of the class, event, or workshop a 50% refund will be issued. 

If a registered and paid participant withdraws less than 24 hours before the class, or is a ‘no-show’ on the day of the event, class, or workshop, no refund will be issued.

This Refund Policy applies to all classes requiring payment.

Luminaria Nights

This winter lights experience is like no other in Southern California, featuring peaceful luminarias, glowing art installations, food and drink, and live music at three beautifully illuminated musical venues. There are no refunds or exchanges on Luminaria Nights tickets, unless the Garden must cancel the event due to weather conditions. If you have tickets to a canceled night of Luminaria Nights, you will receive an e-mail giving you the option to: attend another scheduled night of Luminaria Nights (subject to Garden capacity limits), convert your Luminaria Nights ticket to one free general admission to California Botanic Garden (excluding special, ticketed events and expiring one year from ticketed event date), donate your ticket purchase to support CalBG's educational and conservation programming, or receive a refund. 

Daily admission tickets are valid for the entire day during our opening hours; there is no specific entry time or duration of your visit. Ticket purchases are nonrefundable.

We are open Tuesdays - Sundays. We are closed on Mondays. Last admission is 30 minutes prior to closing.

September Hours: 8 AM to 7 PM
October Hours: 8 AM to 6 PM

When you arrive:

After parking, please visit our Admissions Kiosk and provide your eTickets. These can be shown from your phone or printed out.

By entering the Garden, you affirm that you are voluntarily assuming all risks and dangers incidental to admission and will not enter restricted areas.

The Administration Building and Horticultural Complex are closed to visitors. 

When you leave:

All guests must depart the Garden by closing time.

By purchasing a ticket(s), you acknowledge that you understand and will abide by the guidelines set forth above.

SAFETY NOTES: Please check the weather before arriving at the Garden. It is recommended to bring a hat, sun protection, a full water bottle, and comfortable close-toed walking shoes. The admissions kiosk also sells water and other beverages.

These free family-friendly walks will lead you through the beautiful, winding trails of California Botanic Garden showing how you can spot and identify your local bird life. 

Meet Pomona Valley Bird Alliance hosts at the Garden entrance at 8:00 a.m. for free admission. This family-friendly bird walk is approximately 2 hours long and is perfect for beginners and experienced birders alike. No binoculars? No worries! Loaner binoculars are available (limited number so first come first served.) You will receive instructions on their use as well.

Fun activities and challenges for all ages abound! 

This festival of nature nerdiness will feature:
