California Botanic Garden will honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s legacy with free admission on Monday, January 18. A limited number of tickets are available for morning and afternoon entry. Please select either the morning or afternoon time block, depending on when you want to enter the Garden. Members may enter the Garden without a reservation by simply presenting their membership card at the Admissions Kiosk. 

Our normal Tuesdays - Sundays from 8 AM - 5 PM. We are typically closed on Mondays. We will be open on Monday, January 18 from 8 AM - 5 PM for MLK Day.

IMPORTANT: Everyone in your party over the age of 2 is required to wear a face covering at all times during your visit.  

When you arrive:

After parking, please visit our Admissions Kiosk and provide the name on your reservation.

By entering the Garden, you are agreeing to our guidelines for your safety and for the safety of others. 

When you leave:

All guests must depart the Garden by 5 PM.

Please remember: 

If you or another person in your party is not feeling well, please visit at another time. 

Bring your own water, as it is not available. 

Picnicking in the Garden is not allowed. We have a few picnic tables available in the parking lot.

Stay at least 6 feet away from anyone not in your family unit. This includes Garden Staff. 

The Administration Building and Horticultural Complex are closed to visitors. 

Only one set of restrooms is open: those at the north end of the Mesa near the Lantz Outdoor Classroom.
