If you’ve been for a visit to the Garden recently, you’ve been able to experience the beauty of native blooms all through the Garden. Join us virtually for another installment of our Arrange Wild Series for an opportunity to bring some of those beautiful blooms home!

This mother’s day weekend, skip the store-bought bouquet, and learn to make your own native plant arrangement for the mother figure in your life, a friend, a loved one, or yourself! Create a wonderfully spring-themed arrangement with pops of pinks, purples, oranges and yellows that will be sure to bring joy to all that take in its beauty! With the expert guidance of Linda Prendergast of CalBG’s Native Designs, you will learn the steps to make a fabulous spring floral arrangement. As you get to know the aesthetic characteristics of these beautiful flowers, our horticulture staff will bring insight into their horticultural value and help you learn how to grow and maintain these native plants at home.

Class participants will be able to pick up their floral arrangement kit at CalBG on Friday, May 7 and Saturday, May 8. The kit will include everything you need to make a beautiful centerpiece, including fragrant flower bundles, spring decorative items, a centerpiece basket, floral foam, floral tape, and a gathering bucket for your fresh cut flowers. The virtual class will take place through Zoom on Saturday, May 8 at 2pm. Registration is limited, so sign up today!
