California Botanic Garden will honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s legacy with free admission on Monday, January 17, 2022.


A limited number of free tickets are available for public general admission. Members may enter the Garden without a reservation by simply presenting their membership card at the Admissions Kiosk. 


We are typically closed on Mondays but will be open on Monday, January 17 from 8 AM - 5 PM for MLK Day.


IMPORTANT: Following CDC and LA County Department of Public Health guidelines, visitors may enjoy the outdoor areas of the Garden mask-free. Visitors are required to wear a face mask over the nose and mouth indoors or when interacting with our staff regardless of vaccination status. Children under age 2 are exempt.  

When you arrive:

After parking, please visit our Admissions Kiosk and provide the name on your reservation.

By entering the Garden, you are agreeing to our guidelines for your safety and for the safety of others. 

When you leave:

All guests must depart the Garden by 5 PM.

Please remember: 

If you or another person in your party is not feeling well, please visit at another time. 

Bring your own water, as it is not available. 

Picnicking in the Garden is not allowed. We have a few picnic tables available in the parking lot.

Stay at least 6 feet away from anyone not in your family unit. This includes Garden Staff. 

The Administration Building and Horticultural Complex are closed to visitors. Restrooms can be found in the SoCal Gardens and north Mesa Gardens.
