California Admission Day 2022

Celebrate California statehood on September 9th with free admission to California’s Native Garden and discover why native plants make our state so special.

A limited number of free tickets are available for public general admission. You can now reserve your tickets ahead of time! Admission tickets for the public (non-members) are valid for the entire day during our opening hours: there is no specific entry time or duration of your visit. 

Members may enter the Garden without a reservation by simply presenting their membership card at the Admissions Kiosk. 

We will be open from 8 AM - 7 PM for California Day.

When you arrive:

After parking, please visit our Admissions Kiosk and provide the name on your reservation.

By entering the Garden, you are agreeing to our guidelines for your safety and for the safety of others. 

Last admission in 30 minutes prior to closing at 6:30 PM. 

When you leave:

All guests must depart the Garden by 7 PM.

Please remember: 

If you or another person in your party is not feeling well, please visit at another time. 

Following CDC and LA County Department of Public Health guidelines, visitors may enjoy the outdoor areas of the Garden mask-free. 

We recommend staying at least 6 feet away from anyone not in your family unit. This includes Garden Staff. 

The Administration Building and Horticultural Complex are closed to visitors. Restrooms can be found in the SoCal Gardens and north Mesa Gardens.
